There is no substitute for blood. When a patient in need receives blood, it’s only because it was given by a generous donor.
We need new blood donors to ensure there is the right blood available for patients who need it.
We need:
- Around 27,000 new donors a year to replace those who can no longer donate.
- 60,000 voluntary regular blood donors to satisfy the needs.
- Only 1% of the Lebanese population is requested to donate blood twice per year.
- More young people to start giving blood so we can make sure we have enough blood in the future.
