Your blood type is determined by genes inherited from your parents. Whether your blood type is rare, common or somewhere in between, your donations are vital in helping save and improve lives.

 

This is the rarest blood type only 1% of Lebanese population are AB negative. This type is also considered the universal plasma and platelet donor.

 

AB positive patients can receive red blood cells from donors with any blood type. Donors who are AB positive are considered the universal plasma donors.

 

It is one of the rarest blood types, A negative patient’s suffer to find a precious donor like you. Be A blood donor and save someone life.

 

This is the second most common blood type in Lebanon, and it makes up almost a third of requests for blood from hospitals so we need to maintain a regular supply. If you didn’t take an A mark before at your studies, you will receive it by blood donation for sure.

 

O negative is considered the universal blood donor, since O-negative red blood cells are compatible with all other blood types. This means that in critical emergencies — when there is no time to confirm a patient’s blood type — O-negative blood can make a lifesaving difference. You are our favorite type.

 

This is the most common blood type in Lebanon, O-positive red blood cells can be used to treat any patient with a positive RH blood type, which makes a measurable difference in emergency situations. Donate now even if you’re not the rarest.

 

B negative blood holds a tremendous power, it’s the second rarest blood type. 1 in 50 donor is B negative!!! We always need more B negative donors and rely heavily on the support and commitment of existing donors to ensure patients receive the blood they need.

 

Only 1 in 13 blood donor is B positive blood, making it a hard to keep a good supply. Always B+ and donate blood.
