Clinical Instructor
Dr. Bayoud is an Orthopedic surgeon specialized in joint replacement surgery, advanced arthroscopy and surgical sports medicine (Sorbonne University).
After graduating from Saint Joseph University, he pursued his training at Hotel Dieu de France and moved to Pitié Salpêtrière hospital, Paris in 2016. He gained experience in minimally invasive direct anterior approach hip replacement, arthroscopy, complex trauma cases and sports injuries.
In 2017, Dr. Bayoud completed a one-year fellowship in arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery in Clinique Arago and Clinique des Lilas, Paris. In the same year, he obtained the Sports Medicine diploma from SORBONNE University (ranked top 3 over 100 participants), and the university diploma in Arthroscopy (Paris-Nord university). His research project was about customization of the knee ligamentoplasty.
Consequently, he was invited to join the ADMTS group (Association des médecins de traumatologie du sport), where he made international contacts and set ground for future cooperation in the sport surgery field.
In November 2018, Dr. Bayoud was asked to re-join the well-known Pitié Salpêtrière hospital in Paris, as an attending surgeon (Chef de Clinique) where his practice consisted of primary and revision joint reconstructive and replacement surgery (upper and lower limb), arthroscopy (shoulder, hip, knee and ankle) and advanced sport surgeries. He was the referral Orthopedic surgeon for the management of complex knee ligament injuries (Triade & Pentade).
During the same year, he obtained the Shoulder & Elbow Surgery University Diploma from Paris-Creteil university.
Furthermore, and during his stay in Paris, Dr. Bayoud also earned a Master’s degree in Biomechanics (Ecole nationale supérieure des arts et métiers, Paris). His research subject was about the utility of EOS imaging system in total knee arthroplasty surgery.
Dr. Bayoud is also active in research and already has published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. He also was a speaker in several sports medicine meetings.
Dr. Bayoud came back to Lebanon in November 2019 to start his career in his hometown. He is a member of the Lebanese Medical Olympic Committee.
